The Pilgrims is an amateur choir for adults, founded in Helsinki to unite people who love singing together. For us, singing is more than a hobby: it is energy shared with like-minded people, and we bring that joy to every performance.
Our programme is a musical journey where everyone can discover something familiar and dear to their heart, from Beatles hits and movie soundtracks to jazz classics.

In the choir, we value not only music but also the joy of connecting with others, discovering new things, and the sense of teamwork. For us, singing is more than a hobby; it’s an energizing experience shared with like-minded individuals. We sing together to inspire and support each other.
When someone joins us, they don’t just become part of the group — they become a member of our close-knit choir, where we celebrate creativity and shared accomplishments.
Choosing the season’s repertoire is a collaborative process. Choir members suggest their favorite pieces, and the choir director selects those most suitable for performance.
In our performances, you’ll hear Beatles hits, movie soundtracks, and even jazz classics. We create a musical journey where everyone can discover something familiar and dear to their heart.
Victoria Sergeenko, a Finnish composer of Karelian heritage, is celebrated for her innovative fusion of folklore and experimental techniques across various musical genres. A graduate of the Petrozavodsk State Conservatoire, she has over 25 years of experience in composition, teaching, and music direction.
In Finland, Victoria has founded and led several choir bands and a choir association, further solidifying her role as a dynamic figure in the international music community.
